The activity of the Anton Stadler Cultural Association is chiefly oriented towards the organization of established music festivals, as well as the creation and production of plays performed on the national and European scene. 

Artango & Jazz Festival is the first and only festival in the Sulcis/Iglesiente region dedicated to Tango. It is a summer cultural event that manages to embrace the artform in all of its multiple facets: from dance to taste, from cinema to poetry, all with their common thread: Tango; from its traditional origins to its more contemporary Jazz manifestations. Since its first edition in 2010, its stage has been graced with various masters of Tango, both in the fields of music and dance: Chicho Frumboli & Juana Sepulveda, JoeCorbata & LucilaCionci, Adrian Luppi & Paula Villaroel, Mauro Zompa & Sara Masi, Eloy Souto & Laura Elizondo and the ContraMilonga orchestra, to name but a few. 

Taking place in Iglesias and Calasetta, the popular vein and inspiring atmosphere of the festival are created by a special combination of sounds offered by Anton Stadler’s productions. Creativity, genre-crossing and the improvisation typical of Jazz are the elements that characterize the Artango & Jazz Festival. From one edition to another, its artistic programme is constantly in a state of growth and renewal, attracting an ever-widening audience that reaches beyond its regional borders.
